New Love

This is one of my very favorite photos. It's the day Mom and Dad were married. Unfortunately we couldn't be there but they did come to see us the next day. Look at how much in Love they are.

These are two wonderful pictures of each of them when they were rather young. I think they might even be before they knew each other. Good looking don't you think?

If I remember correctly this photo was taken in part as a publicity photo for my Father's political campaign in about 1965. In the back row you will find standing my Father,my brothers-Tom, Mike and Tim and my sister-Mary. Seated is my Mom with my Sue on her lap. In next to them and in front is John and behind him you find the twins Barb and Roy. Then we come to myself and Patti is on the end.

The six of us

This is the tribe Mom took on to add to the two boys she already had. Amazing woman! Unfortunately this is the only picture I have that is decent of the six of us and it is at my First Communion. I know there is one out there with all of us, Mom (my birth Mom) and Dad on the couch but all I have is a xerox of it. It's to bad because it's a really cool picture and I would love to add it lower on the page. There is hopefully a nice one of Mike and Tom together that I would like to put before this one. After this I am hoping to add one of John and Sue so that you can see the 3 groups that Mom made one.

What a wonderful Christmas present my sister, Mary, sent me. This is a picture of my Dad's family and they were as much of a handful for his parents as I suspect we were for ours. I hope to contact my sister in order to give names to the brothers. Dad's sister's name is Alice and with eight brothers she sure must have had her hands full as did Grandma & Grandpa Willmann.

Mom's Parents

Grandma Coffey Grandpa Coffey and His Ladies Grandpa Coffey

These are photos of my Mom's parents. Let's see what I can remember about them. They lived on the corner of our block for as long as I can remember. My Grandpa, Patrick Dennis (Art) Coffey, I only got to know when I was very young. He died in 1953, a year before my Mom, so there isn't much. I do remember him offering us a taste of beer when we were just little ones. I always thought he might be enstilling that Irishness in us. My Grandma, Anna Yuenger Coffey, I remember as being ill a good deal. I do know that she was bedridden but am unsure as to why. All of us went daily to see her. She died in 1957 and it is my understanding that she never knew that my had passed. I think the reason is that because of her health it was decided that it would hurt her more to know. My Aunt Mamie, a nurse like my Mom, took care of her. More than anything I remember their house filled with Love and healthy Irish humor.

THE COFFEY KIDS

Well, these are the Coffey Kids: Mom (my birth Mom), Mamie and Sambo. As you can see both my Aunt Mamie and my Mom were nurses and actually were in the Army Nurses Corp during World War II. Mamie was stationed in England and from what I can tell Mom was state side. My Dad was in the service also but in the Intelligence Force. When my father was injured they meet at a hospital he was recuperating at. I can't say whether she was his nurse or not, but they did meet there. The fun part is that out of my Dad, Aunt Mamie and Mom, Mom held the highest military rank of the three. I found this out when I visited their grave site. Dad actually is lying right between the two women he loved most, Helen & Kathyrn. Sambo, well, he did the Merchant Marine thing and anyone who knew him will tell you what a hellion he was. Mamie and Sam lived in my Grandparent's house on the corner of our block so spending holiday"s plus several days a week with them regularly was a pure joy. A lot of good Irish blood here!

IN MEMORY OF THOMAS OWEN MC DONNELL

Thomas Owen Mc Donnell

A candle for Tom
This is Thomas Owen Mc Donnell. Tom died very tragically at the tender age of 26. He was an actor, friend and protector for me. He wasn't afraid of life and enjoyed it to the fullest. A heart of gold really knew how to care about people. He watched out for me and made sure that I was on the straight and narrow. When I was young (high school age), he caught me walking out of a store with something and made me take it back with an apology and promise not to do it again. He was very kind about it, never judging me but speaking to me gently about it. I'm sure that if his life hadn't been stolen from him would have become a great Actor. He was very good and every time I'm working on a character I know he is there guiding me.

So here is were a Mom can be so very proud of her Ladies. These are my children and each day I wonder about how lucky I have been to have such incredibly beauties, inside and out. First, we have my oldest daughter, Jennifer Lynn, (Jen) then there is my baby, Rebecca Ann, (Becca). I am sure that there isn't a Mom out there that couldn't go on and on about how wonderful it is to have done so well with the lives they were give to watch over. I am no different. The pictures are their high school graduation pics. Graduation was quite a number of years ago and at present my Ladies are 32 and 31. If you would like to know more about these Ladies check out their recipe pages. Even the design for each of them shows the uniqueness of their personalities. How lucky I am to have such special Ladies in my life and yes, I do thank their father for his contribution. It takes to to tango and we tango pretty well at least on these two occasions.

I thought it only appropriate to include one of myself. This is an old resume photo that was used for my real passion, theatre. Since I started taking this class I haven't had much time to pursue my passion but am hopeful that very soon I will have thing to the point where I can add to it between the other things in my life. For me this is okay only because this site has always been intended as a gift to my family and especially Mom.
